Cool photo's, why didn't you take a photo of the fish (1981) in Anchor Point? That is the Via Balboa House, you were back in anchorage before you took a picture? looks like you didn't even clean it.

You are right, it is at the house on Via Balboa, the second one is shot in front of the smoke house at the old Harrington's Fishing Shack. The only thing I can assume is that I never had a camra with me and probably put the fish on ice to bring back to Anchorage to get a picture. The second picture was shot on 35mm slide and later made into a picture - that fish ended up inbthe smoke house behind me! Smoked Steelehad is very good - just finish a fresh batch.

Quite the claim of your "fresh batch" of steelhead finished. I think you may have caught the '81 steelhead North of LA - and just have a hard time remembering.

Do you realize that in both those pictures you are younger than your two oldest kids?

And I believe a couple of your grandchildren may be older than the 1961 photo....were you 17? 18? You had not joined the navy yet had you?

Don't let that stud comment go to your head. I was once called a hottie by a 60 year old mocha granny in Wamsutter but I kept my sense of reality. Yes, this photo in front Dad's smoke house was pre-Navy. It was also prior to Stan backing Dad's travelall into the smokehouse and nearly toppling it over and off it's foundation-yes Shane-your father had his vehicular moments as well.
Pat and I made prayerful intervention which consequently saved our brothers life. He lived on and was able to serve with distinction in the Navy shortly after this photo was taken.
