Veterans Day

There Is A Price We Pay For Freedom
For It Is Not Truly Free
But Rather Paid For By the Contributions Of Veterans
To Buy Our Liberty

We Should Honor The Veterans For They Act Like A Shield
Protecting Us From Danger, Keeping America Healed.
So If You Would Take A Second To Commemorate
You Will Instantly See
We Owe Veterans Our Gratitude
For They Are The Reason We Are Free.

That IS quite a legacy in military service for a family. A lot of those wars and battles have been forgotten aside from history books in school. It would do all of us good (children, especially) to remember where our country gained the strength to hold freedom and provide a safe land for our children to raise theirs. It is somewhat discerning how even older generations treat our government, the place(s) they work, and citizens around them. A hard time might do our country good to learn appreciation for what we have been and will become.

Matthew is actually completing his third tour of Iraq. I count my time in Iraq as service in the new
"Rough Riders". May as well have been Army-we drove their equipment. Nice posting.
